  1. I really liked that my favorite characters in the Quarter Quell didn’t die. Peeta, Katniss, and Finnick all survived. But at the end there was the dispute about how Peeta wasn’t there. It was only Gale. Which makes me wonder what happened to Peeta after Katniss was knocked out by Johanna Mason. I would change that I would have liked to hear Peeta have some dialogue in the end of the book. Because I wanted to know where he was.

    • I agree with you on changing the ending of the book with Peeta. I really wanted to know where he was and hopefully not dead. 🙂

      • ya but if they told you the ending then there would be no sequal to the book. The author wanted you to not like the endding and she wanted to leave so many unaswered questions so that she will keep you hooked and you willwant to go out and read the next book.

  2. Something that I like about my book was that Katniss escaped from the Quarter Quell instead of dieing there because she had to save Peeta. One thing I would change about the ending is that you should know what happened to District 12. I say this because it left me wondering and I had to read the 3rd book to find out what happened. Also I would like to know what happened to Johanna and who survived of the Career group. I wonder because of the same reason as the other thing I would change.

    • I would also like it if they told us which Career won, and if Johanna died or not. That way we would know what was in the Capitol with Peeta.

  3. In the end of my book, I liked how you find out that Plutarch is actually on Katniss’s side. It seems that everyone in the Capitol is always bad and this shows you that some are different. I like that they actually thought of a plan so elaborate as to rebel against the Capitol and get the district 12 tributes out. Something about the ending I would change is to see what’s going on with Peeta. It would be good to know what’s happening to him and if he’s dead or not.

    • I agree with that I think it’s good that they have someone from inside the Capitol on there side. Someone who knows where there could be traps

    • I agree I also like that they tell you that Plutarch is one they’re side. This changes things because now she doesn’t have to feel like everyone involved with the Games/Capitol is against her.

  4. In the end of the book I liked how the last words are there is no district 12. This made me want to read the next book so I could find out what happened to district 12. I think that one thing they could have changed about the ending is that I would have had Peeta in the hovercraft and have something happened to Gale. I think that that would have added a lot more suspense.

    • I agree with you. I cannot wait to read the final book of the triligoy to see if the rebels finally overthrow the capitol.

      • I think it would be cool if they made it Gale! But being gone makes you suspicious on what President snow is going to do. I agree with you when you say you like it ending with there is no more district 12. I think the ending makes you want to read the 3rd book on purpose and it worked!

  5. I really liked the ending. If i had to change one thing, uhhh would change the point at which it ended. I liked the drama in the last sentence of it but i think it would have been really cool if she caught a glimpse of used to be District 12. I would also have liked it to end when she had just arrived at district 13. This would explain what it looks like and where it is she will live. I know some people don’t like the ending with Peeta not being there but I think it creates suspense and makes me want to find out what happens next. I love this book and to find on even on thing to change is hard.

    • The whole mystery about District 13 just adds to the need to read the next book. It seems like a greedy idea to me, though.

  6. I liked at the ending of my book that it leaves you hanging. You have to read the next one. I also like that they revealed what the plan has been the whole book. I would change that they should tell us what happened to Peeta.

    • I agree with you. It definitely leaves you hanging and want to read the next one. But I think they didn’t tell us about Peeta to do just that-leave us hanging. I also agree with you when you said that they revealed what the plan has been the whole time. That was a good part too.

  7. The ending of this book was very interesting. First I did not like how the Quarter Quell ended. It was too broad and hard to understand how Katniss actually managed to blow the whole arena up. Next I like how Katniss and Peeta were seperated. This adds more drama and suspense to the story and the ending of the book. Also you will never know if they will ever see each other again. One thing I would change about the ending of the book would be how the victors, like Finnick and Katniss, managed to escape the arena in the middle of it being blown up.

  8. I liked how Katniss ended up at the end of the book. She just lied around in a hospital bed, semi-conscious. I didn’t like how they made you have to read the next book, because it just seems like a cheap marketing ploy. They should’ve had an ending that might’ve been able to stand on its own.

  9. I thought that the endding reminded me of a TV show. It is like a drama like LOST. It answers the questions of the last book but it creats some new ones of its own. I dont like the ending but i thought it was very well thought out by the author and it causes you to go out and want to buy and reasd the next book in the sequel.
